Netflix India announces free access for two days
Netflix has come up with a new offer that is expected to increase the OTT’s reach in India. The company will be offering a free trial for its content in India for a limited period of time. During the company’s earnings call, Chief Product Officer Greg Peters announced the launch of the new offer. This new offer will first be tested in India and then is expected to launched in other markets as well.
Currently, Netflix offers a trial period of 30 days for new users only. However, this free-trial is not applicable in United States. In India, new users can opt for this trial period but these users will also have to provide payment details. Once the trial period ends, the money for the subscribed plan will get deducted.
Under the new StreamFest, however, users will get to access all content without any commitment. According to a report by India Today, this new plan will be offered from 4 December and users will get access to Netflix’s line up for a total of 48 hours.
Earlier this year, Netflix had announced that they will be stopping the 1 month trial period globally. However, the offer is still available in India. We can’t be certain if this new StreamFest will be a complete replacement for the 30-day trial period or Netflix will try to use both offers in tandem to expand its reach in the increasingly competitive segment.
The OTT app offers a host of plans for users in India, starting from the price of ₹199 for mobile users only. Other packs include ₹499 plan which offers a single profile use. The ₹649 plan offers two different profiles whereas the most expensive ₹799 plan offers up to four profiles and also provides content in 4K resolution.

വരുന്ന ഡിസംബര്‍ അഞ്ച്, ആറ് തീയതികളിലാണ് നെറ്റ്ഫ്ലിക്സ് സൗജന്യമായി തങ്ങളുടെ ഉള്ളടക്കങ്ങൾ സ്ട്രീം ചെയ്യുക. പേര്, ഇ മെയിൽ വിലാസം, പാസ്‌വേർഡ് എന്നീ വിവരങ്ങൾ നൽകിയാൽ ഈ ഓഫർ ലഭിക്കും. അഞ്ചാം തിയതി അർദ്ധരാത്രി 12 മണി മുതൽ ആറിന് അർദ്ധരാത്രി 12 മണി വരെ ആണ് ഓഫർ ലഭിക്കുക.

New Delhi: Jio has once again proved its supremacy in the world of internet. Jio was already the number one company in India in terms of wireless internet users. But now Jio has become the number one company in the broadband segment. According to TRAI’s November 2021 report, Jio has surpassed BSNL and has achieved the number one position in the wired fixed line broadband service. Jio has reached the first position with about 43 lakh 40 thousand wired fixed line broadband connections. On the other hand, BSNL has to be content with the second place with about 42 lakh connections. Whereas Bharti Airtel remains on the third position with 40 lakh 80 thousand connections as before.

Most users associated with Jio
Jio started commercial broadband service about 2 years ago. In the 2 years since its launch, Jio Fiber service has achieved the number one position in both the wired and fixed line segments. About 1 lakh 90 thousand new fiber customers are connected with Jio in November. Whereas BSNL broadband users have decreased during this period. Whereas Airtel’s subscriber number has registered an increase of about 1 lakh.
According to TRAI data, the total market share of Reliance Jio in the wireless and wired broadband segment has increased to 54.01 percent in November 2021. Airtel is second with 26.21% and Vodafone-Idea is at number three with 15.27%.

Jio also remains the top in terms of total mobile subscriber numbers. On 30 November 2021, more than 42 crore 86 lakh customers were connected to Jio’s network. At the same time, Airtel had 35 lakh 52 thousand and Voda-Idea had only around 26 lakh 71 thousand customers.
