വി എസ്‌, വിട ; വിപ്ലവസൂര്യൻ ഇനി അമരസ്‌മരണ

തിരുവനന്തപുരം: മുൻ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയും ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും മുതിർന്ന കമ്മ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ് നേതാവുമായ വി എസ് അച്യുതാനന്ദന്റെ ഭൗതികദേഹം കവടിയാറിലെ വീട്ടിൽ നിന്ന് രാവിലെ ഒമ്പതോടെ ദർബാർ ഹാളിലേക്ക് എത്തിക്കും. പൊതുദർശനത്തിന് ശേഷം ഉച്ചകഴിഞ്ഞ് ദേശീയപാതയിലൂടെ വിലാപയാത്രയായി ആലപ്പുഴ പുന്നപ്രയിലെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോകും. ആലപ്പുഴയിലെ വേലിക്കകത്ത് വീട്ടിൽ പൊതുദർശനത്തിന് വെക്കും. തുടർന്ന് ബുധനാഴ്ച രാവിലെ ആലപ്പുഴയിലെ ജില്ലാ കമ്മിറ്റി ഓഫീസിൽ പൊതുദർശനം. ആലപ്പുഴ പൊലീസ് റീക്രിയേഷൻ ഗ്രൗണ്ടിലെ പൊതുദർശനത്തിന് ശേഷം വൈകിട്ടോടെ വലിയ ചുടുകാട്ടിൽ സംസ്‌കരിക്കും. വിഎസിനോടുള്ള ആദരസൂചകമായി സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഇന്ന് പൊതു അവധി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസമാണ് വി എസ് അച്യുതാനന്ദൻ വിടപറഞ്ഞത്. ഹൃദയാഘാതത്തെ തുടർന്ന് തിരുവനന്തപുരം എസ്‌യുടി ആശുപത്രിയിലെ തീവ്ര പരിചരണ വിഭാഗത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ച വിഎസിന് പിന്നീട് സാധാരണ നിലയിലേയ്ക്ക് തിരിച്ചുവരാൻ സാധിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല.

The mortal remains of former Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan will be kept at the old AKG Centre in Thiruvananthapuram for the public to pay homage on Monday evening (July 21, 2025).

Later, the body will be taken to the house of his son, V.S. Arun Kumar, at Barton Hill in the city. On Tuesday (July 22, 2025), Mr. Achuthanandan’s body will lie in State at the iconic Durbar Hall at the Secretariat. Mr. Achuthanandan’s cortege will proceed to Alappuzha on Tuesday afternoon.

Hundreds of people are expected to line the road to Alappuzha to pay their respects to the veteran communist leader and freedom fighter.

At Alappuzha, Mr. Achuthanandan’s remains will be kept at his family home for the night.

Funeral on Wednesday
On Wednesday, Mr. Achuthanandan will be cremated with full State and party honours at the Valiyachudukadu cemetery, the final resting place of hundreds of martyrs of the historic 1946 Punnapra Vayalar uprising against landlords and the feudal-colonial regime.

Communist Party of India (Marxist) State secretary M.V. Govindan told reporters that party flags would fly at half-mast until the mourning period ends.

With Mr. Achuthanandan’s condition worsening on Monday noon, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Health Minister Veena George, Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal, Law Minister P. Rajeeve, and scores of party workers, including Left Democratic Front (LDF) convener T.K. Ramakrishnan, CPI(M) Thiruvananthapuram district secretary V. Joy, reached the hospital. The hospital authorities pronounced Mr. Achuthanandan dead from a massive cardiac arrest at 3.20 p.m.

Chief Secretary A. Jayathilak also visited the hospital to confer with the Ministers to make arrangements for a State funeral for the late Chief Minister. The Ministers and Mr. Jayathilak held talks with Mr. Achuthanandan’s family members to finalise the arrangements.

Hundreds of workers converged at the private hospital where Mr. Achuthanandan breathed his last.

A living legend: Brinda
Veteran CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat termed Mr. Achuthanandan a living legend, a history-maker, and a warrior. “The beloved comrade was a warrior for the poor. He had a heart so big that he would intensely feel the pain of the deprived, the exploited and the downtrodden. The history of the communist party is deeply intertwined with the life of the comrade. He understood human suffering and worked for working class upliftment,” she told reporters in New Delhi.

ആഗോള പെന്തക്കോസ്ത് സമൂഹത്തിന് തീരാനഷ്ടം; ആത്മീയ നേതൃത്വത്തിലെ ശ്രദ്ധേയ അധ്യായത്തിന് വിരാമം.

കുമ്പനാട്: ഇന്ത്യാ പെന്തക്കോസ്ത് ദൈവസഭയുടെ (ഐപിസി) ജനറൽ പ്രസിഡന്റും ആഗോള പെന്തക്കോസ്ത് ക്രൈസ്തവ സമൂഹത്തിലെ പ്രമുഖ ആത്മീയ നേതാവുമായ പാസ്റ്റർ ഡോ. ടി. വൽസൻ ഏബ്രഹാം (74 വയസ്സ്)അമേരിക്കയിൽ വച്ച് നിത്യതയിൽ ചേർക്കപ്പെട്ടു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വിയോഗം ഇന്ത്യാ പെന്തക്കോസ്ത് ദൈവസഭയ്ക്കു മാത്രമല്ല, ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള പെന്തക്കോസ്ത് വിശ്വാസിസമൂഹത്തിനും വലിയ നഷ്ടമാണ്.

പാസ്റ്റർ കെ ഇ എബ്രഹാമിന്റെ കൊച്ചുമകനും, പാസ്റ്റർ റ്റി എസ് എബ്രഹാമിന്റെ മകനും, ഇന്ത്യ പെന്തകോസ്ത് ദൈവസഭ ജനറൽ പ്രസിഡന്റ്റുമായ ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട പ്രിയ കർത്തൃദാസൻ പാസ്റ്റർ ഡോ. വൽസൻ ഏബ്രഹാം . ചില നാളുകളായി കാൻസർ രോഗത്തെ തുടർന്ന് ശാരീരകമായി തീരെ സൗഖ്യമില്ലാതെ കഴിയുകയായിരുന്നു.

ദീർഘകാലത്തെ ആത്മീയ ശുശ്രൂഷയും നേതൃത്വപരമായ ഇടപെടലുകളും കൊണ്ട് സഭാരംഗത്ത് ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ വ്യക്തിത്വമായി മാറിയ പാസ്റ്റർ ഡോ. വൽസൻ ഏബ്രഹാം, ഐപിസിയുടെ ആത്മീയവും സംഘടനാപരവുമായ മുന്നേറ്റത്തിൽ നിർണായക പങ്കുവഹിച്ച നേതാവായിരുന്നു. സഭയുടെ ഐക്യം, വിശ്വാസപരമായ നിലപാടുകൾ, ശുശ്രൂഷാരംഗത്തെ ഏകോപനം എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് പ്രാധാന്യം നൽകിയ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നേതൃത്വം സഭയുടെ ചരിത്രത്തിൽ ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ അധ്യായമാണ്.

വചനശുശ്രൂഷയോടുള്ള പ്രതിബദ്ധതയും ദൈവവേലയോടുള്ള സമർപ്പണവും നേതൃത്വത്തിലെ ദീർഘവീക്ഷണവും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ സഹശുശ്രൂഷകർക്കും വിശ്വാസികൾക്കും പ്രിയങ്കരനാക്കി. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷാജീവിതവും സഭയ്ക്കായി നടത്തിയ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളും വരുംതലമുറകൾക്ക് ഓർമിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന സംഭാവനകളായിരിക്കും

അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വിയോഗവാർത്ത പുറത്തുവന്നതോടെ ഐപിസി കുടുംബത്തിലും ലോകത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളിലുള്ള വിശ്വാസിസമൂഹത്തിലും ദുഃഖം നിറഞ്ഞു. ദുഃഖത്തിലായിരിക്കുന്ന കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളോടും പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടവരോടും സഭയുടെ അനുശോചനം അറിയിക്കുന്നു. ഈ വേർപാടിന്റെ വേദനയിൽ കഴിയുന്ന എല്ലാവരെയും ദൈവം തന്റെ ആശ്വാസത്താലും സമാധാനത്താലും ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തട്ടെ.

പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ ഉറപ്പിലും നിത്യജീവന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയിലും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന വിശ്വാസിസമൂഹം, ദൈവശുശ്രൂഷയ്ക്കായി ജീവിതം സമർപ്പിച്ച ഒരു ആത്മീയ നേതാവിന്റെ വേർപാടിൽ ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു.

Rev. Dr. T. Valson Abraham is the founding pastor of India Christian Assembly, Los Angeles. He is the founder and president of India Gospel Outreach (IGO), an organization dedicated to planting dynamic churches in each of India’s 3,000 castes and tribes and among the Indian diaspora in other nations. Part of this vision includes planting churches in each of India’s 28,000+ zip codes.

Born and raised in India, Valson is grandson of, Pastor K. E. Abraham, the founder of India’s largest indigenous denomination, India Pentecostal Church (IPC). In 1992, he founded Punjab Bible College which has produced more that 1300 graduates working in northwest India, Nepal, Bhutan and Canada. From 2006-2013, he served as the General Secretary to his denomination in India. From 2009-2015, he served as Vice President of the Bible Society of India, Kerala State.

For the past 50 years, his ministry of preaching, teaching, mentoring, writing, broadcasting and servant leadership has blessed thousands in India, USA and around the world. His book The Cinderella Challenge reminds us of the beauty and urgency of the Great Commission.
