A 3-digit number that represents your creditworthiness is called Credit Information Bureau (India) Limited (CIBIL) score or credit score. It’s calculated by credit bureaus based on your credit history, like your repayment history, credit utilization, and the length of your credit history. A CIBIL score of 750 or above is considered good, and a score of 850 or above is considered excellent.
Lenders use your CIBIL score to assess your credit risk and determine whether to approve you for a loan or credit card. A higher CIBIL score indicates that you are a low-risk borrower and are more likely to repay your loans on time. This means that you may be eligible for lower interest rates and better terms on your loans.
