ജാർഖണ്ഡില്‍ വൈദികരെ ബന്ദിയാക്കി പള്ളിയും സ്കൂൾ ഓഫീസും കൊള്ളയടിച്ചു

റാഞ്ചി: ജാർഖണ്ഡിലെ സിംദേഗ ജില്ലയിൽ വൈദികരെ ബന്ദിയാക്കി പള്ളിയും സ്കൂൾ ഓഫീസും ഇടവക ഓഫീസും കൊള്ളയടിച്ചു. ഞായറാഴ്ച പുലര്‍ച്ചെ ഒന്നരയോടെ ബോൾബ ബ്ലോക്കിന് കീഴിലുള്ള സംസേര ഗ്രാമത്തിലാണ് വന്‍ കവർച്ച നടന്നത്. മുഖംമൂടി ധരിച്ച അഞ്ച് ആയുധധാരികളായ കൊള്ളക്കാർ പള്ളി പരിസരത്ത് അതിക്രമിച്ച് കയറി ഏകദേശം എട്ട് ലക്ഷം രൂപയാണ് കൊള്ളയടിച്ചത്. ഇടവക വികാരി ഫാ. ഇഗ്നേഷ്യസ് ടോപ്പോ, അസി. വികാരി ഫാ. റോഷൻ, സാംസേര സ്കൂ‌ൾ പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ അഗസ്റ്റിൻ ഡംഗ്‌ഡംഗ് എന്നിവരെ മാരകായുധങ്ങളുപയോഗിച്ചു മർദിച്ച് അവശരാക്കിയശേഷമായിരുന്നു കവർച്ച.

ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റ ഇവരെ ബോൾബയിലെ സിഎച്ച്‌സി ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. വൈദികരെ മർദ്ദിക്കുകയും ആക്രമിക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത ദുഃഖകരമായ സംഭവമാണ് അരങ്ങേറിയതെന്നു സിംഡേഗയിലെ ബിഷപ്പ് വിൻസെന്റ് ബർവ കാത്തലിക് കണക്റ്റിനോട് പ്രതികരിച്ചു. ഇടവകയിൽ ഏകദേശം 8,000 പേരുണ്ട്. നിലവില്‍ വൈദികരെ ഞങ്ങൾ ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി. ഒരു ആഴ്ചയ്ക്കുള്ളിൽ വൈദികര്‍ തിരിച്ചെത്തുമെന്നു പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നുവെന്നും കുറ്റവാളികളെ കണ്ടെത്താൻ പോലീസ് സജീവമായി അന്വേഷണം തുടരുകയാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.

ഫാ. റോഷന്റെ മുറിയിലേക്കാണു അഞ്ചംഗ മുഖംമുടി സംഘം ആദ്യം അതിക്രമിച്ച് കയറിയത്. വൈദികനെ മർദിച്ചവശനാക്കിയശേഷം മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ മുറികളിലേക്കും പ്രവേശിച്ചു. മർദിച്ചു വീഴ്ത്തിയശേഷം തോക്കു ചൂണ്ടിയായിരുന്നു കവർച്ച. പള്ളിയിലും സ്കൂൾ ഓഫീസിലും പാരിഷ് ഓഫീസിലുമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എട്ടു ലക്ഷം രൂപ സംഘം കവർന്നു. ഒഡിയ ഭാഷയായിരുന്നു സംഘം സംസാരിച്ചതെന്ന് ആക്രമണത്തിന്റെ ഇരകള്‍ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി. സംഭവത്തില്‍ പോലീസ് അന്വേഷണം അതിവേഗം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കി നടപടിയെടുക്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് വിശ്വാസികള്‍ സമരവുമായി രംഗത്ത് വന്നിരിന്നു.

A shocking robbery took place at around 1:30 AM on Sunday night in a church located in Samsera village under Bolba block of Simdega district, Jharkhand. Five masked and armed robbers broke into the church premises and looted approximately eight lakh rupees. They brutally assaulted the parish priests during the incident. The assailants not only attacked with sticks and weapons but also held guns to the priests’ heads, forcing them to chant religious slogans under duress.

Bishop Vincent Barwa of Simdega spoke to Catholic Connect, stating, “It is a sad situation that the priests are beaten up and assaulted.” He added, “The parish has around 8,000 people and we have replaced the priests for the time being. The priests will be alright and should be back within a week. We also have people watching the church.” He confirmed that the police are cooperative and actively working to find the culprits.

Following this terrifying incident, a sense of fear has gripped the Christian community. On Monday morning, angry members of the Christian society took to the streets in protest. They described the incident not only as a criminal act but also as an attack on religious freedom.

During the robbery, Parish Priest Father Ignatius Toppo, Samsera School Principal Agustin Dungdung, and Assistant Parish Priest Roshan were seriously injured. All three have been admitted to the CHC hospital in Bolba for treatment.

According to Father Roshan, the robbers had arrived with a duplicate key. They first broke into Father Toppo’s room and beat him up, then entered other rooms, assaulting all the priests at gunpoint and forcing them to chant religious slogans. One of the robbers was carrying a country-made pistol while another had a sharp weapon. They looted about eight lakh rupees in cash from the church, school, and parish office.

All the robbers were speaking in Odia, raising suspicion that they might have come from outside the area.

Father Ignatius Toppo revealed that this was the third robbery at Samsera Church. The church has been targeted twice before. These repeated incidents have sparked serious concern among the Christian community regarding their safety.

The Bolba police have sealed the block’s borders and are conducting raids at possible hideouts. Station In-Charge Santosh Kumar stated that the culprits will be arrested soon. The incident has created an atmosphere of tension and anger in the region.

കോഴിക്കോട്: ഇന്ത്യൻ എംബസികളുമായി വേഗത്തിൽ ബന്ധപ്പെടാനുള്ള സംവിധാനം സാധാരണക്കാർക്ക് ഒരുക്കാൻ പ്രവാസി മലയാളികളുടെ ക്ഷേമം സംബന്ധിച്ച നിയമസഭാ സമിതി യോഗത്തിൽ തീരുമാനമായി. പ്രവാസികൾ അവധിക്കായി നാട്ടിലെത്തുന്ന ചെറിയ ഇടവേളകളിൽ ആധാർ കാർഡ്, തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് തിരിച്ചറിയൽ കാർഡ് തുടങ്ങിയവയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട അപേക്ഷകൾ വേഗത്തിൽ തീർപ്പാക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള നടപടികൾ സ്വീകരിക്കുമെന്ന് കളക്ടർ എം.എസ്. മാധവിക്കുട്ടി സമിതിയെ അറിയിച്ചു.

പ്രവാസി ക്ഷേമനിധി പെൻഷൻ മുടങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്നതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ, പെൻഷൻ ലഭിക്കുന്നതിലെ കാലതാമസം, ക്ഷേമനിധി അംഗത്വത്തിനുള്ള അപേക്ഷകൾ സമയബദ്ധമായി തീർപ്പാക്കാത്തത് തുടങ്ങിയ വിഷയങ്ങളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട പരാതികൾ വിവിധ പ്രവാസി സംഘടനാ പ്രതിനിധികൾ യോഗത്തിൽ ഉന്നയിച്ചു. നോർക്ക സാന്ത്വനം പദ്ധതിവഴി നിലവിൽ നൽകിവരുന്ന 50,000 രൂപയുടെ ചികിത്സാസഹായം വർധിപ്പിക്കണമെന്നും ചികിത്സാസഹായവും മരണാനന്തര സഹായധനവും സമയബദ്ധമായി അനുവദിക്കണമെന്നും പ്രവാസി സംഘടനാ പ്രതിനിധികൾ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.

പ്രവാസി ക്ഷേമനിധിയിൽ അംഗമാകുന്നതിനുള്ള പ്രായപരിധി 70 വയസ്സായി ഉയർത്തണമെന്നും നാട്ടിൽ തിരിച്ചെത്തുന്ന പ്രവാസികൾക്ക് സംരംഭങ്ങൾ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതിന് സഹായധനം നൽകണമെന്നും വിവിധ കാരണങ്ങളാൽ ആനുകൂല്യങ്ങൾ നിഷേധിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ അവ ലഭ്യമാക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള വ്യവസ്ഥകളിൽ ആവശ്യമായ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ വരുത്തണമെന്നും യോഗത്തിൽ ആവശ്യമുയർന്നു.

The Kerala Assembly Committee on the Welfare of Non-Resident Keralites will take measures to help ordinary people quickly contact Indian embassies, committee members have said.

The committee, chaired by Parakkal Abdulla, MLA, held a sitting in Kozhikode on Tuesday (October 6) to discuss various issues faced by expatriates in the district, benefits due to them from the government and complaints related to welfare pensions.

MLAs K.M. Abhijith, Pazhakulam Madhu, Mohammed Muhsin, M. Vincent, and Xavier Chittilappilly attended the meeting.

A meeting of the Legislative Assembly Committee on the Welfare of Non-Resident Keralites (NRKs) has decided to set up a system to enable ordinary people to contact Indian embassies quickly.

Collector M S Madhavikutty informed the committee that measures will be taken to swiftly dispose of applications related to Aadhaar cards, electoral identity cards and similar documents during the short periods when NRIs visit home on vacation.

Representatives from various NRI organisations raised complaints at the meeting regarding issues such as suspended Pravasi Welfare Fund pension payments, delays in receiving pensions and the non-time-bound processing of applications for welfare fund membership.

In the meeting, representatives of various expatriate organizations raised grievances related to issues related to non-payment of expatriate welfare fund pension, delay in receiving pension and non-settlement of applications for welfare fund membership in a time-bound manner. The representatives of the expatriate organizations demanded an increase in the existing medical assistance of Rs 50,000 under the Norka Santhanam scheme and timely release of medical assistance and post-mortem assistance.

It was demanded in the meeting that the age limit for becoming a member of the Non-Resident Welfare Fund should be increased to 70 years, assistance should be provided to expatriates returning home to start enterprises and necessary changes should be made in the conditions for providing benefits in case they are denied due to various reasons.

Committee chairman Parakkal Abdulla presided over the meeting. Mr. K.M. Abhijith, Pazhakulam Madhu, Muhammed Muhasin and others. Vincent, Xavier Chittilappilly and NORKA committee joint secretary Md. Jayashree, Dy. K. Representatives of various organisations had participated.

മത്സരത്തില്‍ കുമളി സെന്റര്‍ ഓവറോള്‍ ചാമ്പ്യന്മാരായി. വൈപിഇ, സണ്‍ഡേ സ്ക്കൂള്‍ ഹൈറേഞ്ച് സോണലില്‍ കുമളി സെന്റ്ര്‍ ചാമ്പ്യന്മാരയപ്പോള്‍ സണ്‍ഡേ സ്ക്കൂള്‍ സെക്കന്‍റ് കട്ടപ്പന സെന്‍ററും, വൈ,പി,ഇ സെക്കന്‍റ് ചപ്പാത്ത് സെന്ററും കരസ്ഥമാക്കി.

അഞ്ച് സെന്ററുകള്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുന്നതാണ് ഹൈറേഞ്ച് സോണല്‍. ഇതില്‍ 55 പ്രാദേശിക സഭകളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള മത്സരാര്‍ത്ഥികളാണ് ടാലന്റ് ടെസ്റ്റില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തത്.
