India – Pastor Ravi lives in a quiet village in Madhya Pradesh, India. He was raised in a devout Hindu family and immersed in the practice of idol worship. His life revolved around materialistic pursuits and although he seemed content, he was plagued by a sense of emptiness and a yearning for something more.

Ravi’s family’s encounter with God took place during a period of immense distress when his mother fell gravely ill. Desperate for a solution, Ravi’s father and other family members turned to various forms of witchcraft to restore her health. They visited countless temples, hoping for a miraculous recovery. Unfortunately, his mother’s condition only worsened.

Amid their struggle, a pastor visited the family and prayed for Ravi’s mother’s healing. By the grace of God, his mother experienced a complete recovery. This experience compelled Ravi’s whole family, including Ravi, to embrace Jesus Christ as their savior.

During the last nine years, Ravi, now a pastor, has served as a devoted servant of the Lord. He has worked primarily in tribal areas, spreading the message of God’s love and salvation. Alongside his ministry, he actively participates in his home church, passionately sharing the word of God with others. As an independent minister, Pastor Ravi is now facing financial challenges because of persecution he’s endured.

“We have been going through a very difficult situation due to intense persecution that affected the regular gatherings of worship,” Pastor Ravi said. “This situation has resulted in a drop in the offerings and tithes. Due to this, supporting my family has become challenging.”

ICC has come alongside Pastor Ravi to help him launch a new clothing store. By working during the day and continuing his ministry in the evenings, he hopes to generate income for his family and ministry.

“This clothing business has given us a new hope and great strength to us, as well as a massive financial relief for my family,” he said. “We are blessed so much because of ICC’s assistance to us and helping us to become self-sustaining through this business.”

ബാലാവകാശ കമ്മീഷന്‍റെ ഇടപെടലിനെതുടർന്ന് ഹയർ സെക്കൻഡറി വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് നോട്ട്സ് ഉൾപ്പടെയുള്ള പഠന കാര്യങ്ങൾ വാട്സ് ആപ്പ് പോലുള്ള സാമൂഹിക മാധ്യമങ്ങളിലൂടെ നൽകി വരുന്ന സ്കൂളുകളുടെയും ടീച്ചേഴ്സിൻ്റെയും നടപടികൾക്ക് വിലക്ക്.

കൊവിഡ് മഹാമാരി കാലത്ത് ഓൺലൈൻ പഠനമായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും നിലവിൽ സ്കൂളുകളിൽ നേരിട്ടാണ് ക്ലാസുകൾ നടത്തിവരുന്നത്. വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് അവരുടെ പഠനകാര്യങ്ങൾ ഓർത്തിരിക്കാനും ശരിയായി മനസിലാക്കാനും നോട്ട്സ് ഉൾപ്പടെയുള്ള പഠന കാര്യങ്ങൾ സാമൂഹിക മാധ്യമങ്ങളിലൂടെ നൽകുന്ന രീതി ഗുണകരമല്ല.

കുട്ടികൾക്ക് നേരിട്ട് ക്ലാസിൽ ലഭിക്കേണ്ട പഠനാനുഭവങ്ങൾ നഷ്ടമാക്കുന്നത് പൂർണമായി ഒഴിവാക്കേണ്ടതാണ്. ഇക്കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്നതിന് ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട അധികാരികൾ സ്കൂളുകളിൽ ഇടവിട്ട് സന്ദർശനം നടത്തി നിരീക്ഷണം ശക്തമാക്കുകയും വിദ്യാർഥികളുടെയും രക്ഷിതാക്കളുടെയും അഭിപ്രായം ചോദിച്ചറിയുകയും ചെയ്യണം.

പഠന കാര്യങ്ങൾ സാമൂഹിക മാധ്യമങ്ങളിലൂടെ നൽകുന്ന രീതി കുട്ടികൾക്ക് അമിതഭാരവും പ്രിന്‍റ് എടുത്ത് പഠിക്കുമ്പോൾ സാമ്പത്തിക ചെലവേറുന്നതായും രക്ഷിതാക്കൾ പരാതി നൽകിയിരുന്നു. ഇതേ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ബാലാവകാശ കമ്മീഷൻ അംഗം എൻ സുനന്ദ നൽകിയ നോട്ടീസിനെ തുടർന്നാണ് എല്ലാ ആർ ഡി ഡിമാർക്കും സ്‌കൂൾ പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽമാർക്കും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വകുപ്പ് സർക്കുലർ നൽകിയത്.
